X-FLARE PARTY CONTINUES !! The X-Flare party continues as Active Region 11748 unleashed its 4th X-flare inside of 48 hours. At 01:47 UTC this morning peaking to X1.2 was reported. Associated with this blast was a Type II, Type IV Sweep Frequency Events and a 10cm Radio Burst (Ten Flare) measuring 490 Solar Flux Units. We will now need to wait to see if the resulting Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has an earth bound component in the coming hours.
M1.6 SOLAR FLARE ! Active Region 11692 unleashed a farewell eruption while rotating off the earth facing side of the disk peaking to a moderate M1.6 at 22:04 UTC today. The M-Class eruption will have a strong coronal mass ejection associated however all components of this blast will be directed safely out into space and will not affect the earth due to the location of this event.
