DOUBLE BARREL M-CLASS SOLAR FLARES TODAY ! Departing active region 12290 prior to turning off the solar disk unleashed two moderate M-Class Solar Flares this evening. An M3.7 eruption at 15:28 UTC and M4.1 at 19:31 UTC. A spectacular Halo Coronal Mass Ejection followed spewing safely out into space and will not have any earth directed component due to the proximity of the blast site being at right angles or 90 degrees to the earth.

EARTH DIRECTED CME & S1 RADIATION STORM IN PROGRESS !! A long duration C3 class solar flare from Active Region 11577 at 23:55 UTC Yesterday has produced a Coronal Mass Ejection(CME) which is expected to impact the earths magnetic field sometime late Sep 29. Proton Levels are now rising and an S1 Minor Radiation storm is now in progress
M2.4 SOLAR FLARE AND CORONAL MASS EJECTION ! Active Region 12282 produced a moderate M2.4 Solar Flare at 23:35 last night. Associated with this long duration event (LDE) was a Type II radio burst and a strong Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) which does not appear to have an earth-bound component.
