KT1BVDEiEZg SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EARTHQUAKE WATCH ! An earthquake in the Balleny Islands Region October 9th could produce a strong kinetic migration into the west coast of North America in the coming days, strong migration relationships of past earthquakes indicate areas at risk for a 6.5-7.0 magni...

X1.7 Solar Flare & CME May 13, 2013

g9QfYAg-WkY MAJOR X-FLARE !! A Major X-Class Solar Flare was registered from an active region behind the eastern limb at 02:15 UTC this morning officially registered as an X1.7 blast. Associated with this event was a strong R3 Level Radio Blackout. A Large Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has been obs...

M5 CLASS SOLAR FLARE !!
Active Region 11745 unleashed an eruption peaking to M5.0 at 13:32 UTC today.  Associated with this blast was a 10cm Radio Burst (Ten Flare) measuring 350 Solar Flux Units. A Huge Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has been observed leaving the blast site and does has a strong earth bound component. The CME is expected to impact earths magnetic field in two days where a strong geomagnetic storm should result.

M3.2 SOLAR FLARE !
Active Region 11748 produced an eruption peaking to M3.2 at 08:57 UTC this morning.  Associated with this blast was a 10cm Radio Burst (Ten Flare) measuring 450 Solar Flux Units. We will now need to wait to see if the resulting Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has an earth bound component, this was a long duration event so a strong CME should follow

Triple X-Class Solar Flares - May 14, 2013

TRIPLE X-CLASS SOLAR FLARES !
Newly numbered active region 11748 has ejected three major X-Class solar flares in the last 24 hours, the latest peaking to X3.2 at 01:10 UTC this morning. This followed an X2.8 eight hours earlier and the X1.7 which began the triple X-Class barrage at 02:32 UTC yesterday. Associated with these blast were strong coronal mass ejections (CME's), none of which have an earth directed component and are being sent safely into space but this may not be the case in the coming days as this active region starts to rotate into an earth facing position.

X-FLARE PARTY CONTINUES !!
The X-Flare party continues as Active Region 11748 unleashed its 4th X-flare inside of 48 hours.  At 01:47 UTC this morning peaking to X1.2 was reported. Associated with this blast was a Type II, Type IV Sweep Frequency Events and a 10cm Radio Burst (Ten Flare) measuring 490 Solar Flux Units. We will now need to wait to see if the resulting Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has an earth bound component in the coming hours.

MAJOR X-FLARE !!
A Major X-Class Solar Flare was registered from an active region behind the eastern limb at 02:15 UTC this morning officially registered as an X1.7 blast. Associated with this event was a strong R3 Level Radio Blackout. A Large Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has been observed exiting the blast site on latest stereo behind images, the CME appears to not have an earth bound component but we need to monitor this active region closely in the coming week as it could produce strong eruptions that could be directed towards the Earth.
